The name Fachin is borne from a very special individual. My mother, Eria Fachin was an amazing pop singer in the 80's and 90's but was lost to cancer when I was six years old. She was most known for her dance single, "Savin' Myself." A Toronto staple, she played the best and hottest venues and nightclubs in North America. She was a rising star and is missed every single day. Her eccentric spirit lives on as the performances by Dance Fachin are really a love letter to her.
Love you Mama.

The song was Fachin's biggest hit in Canada and internationally, peaked at No. 22 on the RPM charts the week of July 2, 1988, as well as reaching the top 15 in the magazine's adult contemporary charts. The song also peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and at No. 33 on the Hot Dance Club Songs chart.
Eria was the original singer for the "Everyone Loves Marineland" theme song in 1995. Even though the commercial received extensive airplay, the singer was conflicted as the captivity of whales was something she was against.
